Sweetheart ferrets help Aquarium
celebrate Valentine’s Day
Fabio and Farrah Ferret have put the finishing touches on the Valentine’s Day decorations at their home at the Atlantic City Aquarium, where visitors can receive a Valentine “signed” by the couple 2-2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.
The Atlantic City Aquarium offers a fun and educational look into more than 100 varieties of fish and marine animals. It is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily in Historic Gardner's Basin. Delta Sweetheart Ball hosted by the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Atlantic City Alumnae Chapter 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City. Cost is $60. “An Evening of Romance and Renewal” 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 or Sunday, Feb. 14 at Absecon Lighthouse will feature catered aphrodisiacs on each level of the climb, romantic tunes by DJ Ron Champion, a keepsake professional photograph, champagne toast, soft spirits and chocolate-covered strawberries. A Cabaret of Broadway Love Songs featuring past performers from Michael Hartman’s Ocean City Theater Company Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Music Pier auditorium, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. All tickets include a dessert reception at 7:15 p.m. and show at 8. Tickets are $10 if purchased by Feb. 12 or $15 the day of show. “Romance through the Ages” performed by the Ocean City Repertory 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Plymouth Inn, 710 Atlantic Ave. There will be a dessert buffet. A traditional afternoon tea will be served 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14. The program features the love songs “All You Need Is Love” and “Embraceable You” and ballads from Robert Burns, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and William Shakespeare. Parents Night Out 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14 at the Milton and Betty Katz Jewish Community Center, 501 N. Jerome Ave. in Margate. Parents get the night off while their children in grades k-3 enjoy a pizza dinner, making crafts, swimming in the pool, watching a movie and playing games. Kids should bring pajamas and sleeping bag.
